The eagle owl is one of the largest European night raptors. It has a length of 50 cm and a wingspan that can reach the 2 meters.
In the wild they live about twenty years, whilst it is said that in captivity they may live half a century.
Distribution: nidifies from Europe to Central Asia. In our peninsula it is found in the alpine and Apennine zones.
Feeding: in the wild it eats other birds, rabbits, hares and even foxes.
