CERATOPHRYS CRANWELLI

CERATOPHRYS CRANWELLI

The Ceratophrys, or Horned Frog, is a big frog with a round and funny look. It’s an animal that loves solitary life, very territorial and aggressive: if annoyed and scared, it can bite the aggressor. The mouth is as big as half of the body (hence the name of Pacman) and can reach the 15cm.
It digs between the damp earth and the leaves where it loves to hide and to sleep.
Distribution: South America. They live in wet substrate of coconut fiber.
Feeding: Insects, small mammals.
