CLAUDIUS ANGUSTATUS

CLAUDIUS ANGUSTATUS

The Claudius Angustatus is a turtle of the family Kinosternidae.
It is a fairly aggressive species, therefore we do not recommend its breeding together with other species.
It adapts well to the life in captivity, provided that suitable conditions are created.
It’s good to raise it in basewater, where it can easily touch the bottom.
The aquarium should be enriched with plants (also fake) that serve as a support but also as a shelter (see the section of this site dedicated to accessories).

DISTRIBUTION
The Claudius Angustatus is distributed mainly in Central America, we find it in Mexico, Guatemala, Yucatan.

FEEDING
Mainly carnivorous and greedy species, it nourishes in the wild of fishes, molluscs and amphibians, to be integrated with the liver and heart of chicken and rabbit.
