ATELERIX ALBIVENTRIS

ATELERIX ALBIVENTRIS

The Atelerix Albiventris (the common African hedgehog) is an exotic pet animal, not to be confused with its European cousin (the Italian hedgehog to be understood) whose detention is prohibited by law. It’s already present in nature in different colors, like albino, chocolate, cinnamon. It is a nocturnal and rather solitary animal, it does not love too much the continuous interferences of its similars (if not during the mating season). The little ones need to be with their mother for at least a month.
Distribution: distributed in African regions
Feeding: insectivorous in nature, in captivity we can feed it with flour moths, crickets, honey camole and, to supplement its diet, for a right and balanced vitamin intake we recommend our RICIFOOD, on sale on the online store.
Attention: remember that it is an exotic animal, therefore it constantly needs a warm temperature, which does not fall below 25 degrees (especially in the first months of life when the animal is more delicate!)
